Why does it feel like we’re being sold on a vaccine that has been rushed to market, hastily tested, and certainly not evaluated for long-term effects? Washington State will be receiving 62,400 doses of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine to begin administering in mid-December with more shipments scheduled to arrive weekly. This vaccine contains a new technology (mRNA) that should be thoroughly tested before being introduced to the general population.
Why would we want to get vaccinated when side effects may be worse than the virus itself? And there is no promise that things will return to normal—vaccinated individuals will still be required to wear masks.
These vaccines are being rushed to us under the “Emergency Use Authorization.” This means: During a health crisis, the FDA
can loosen its normal scientific standards to allow emergency use of experimental drugs, devices, vaccines and other medical products (emphasis added.)
Endorsements from politicians or safety review boards do not increase the safety of a vaccine that has not been thoroughly tested. Please don’t let yourself or your loved ones be a guinea pig.
Governor Inslee has stated a goal of 60 to 70% vaccination of the population. According to current polling, less than half of Americans are currently willing to take a COVID-19 vaccine. If we hold our ground and keep vaccination rates under 50% they will not be able to treat the unvaccinated like second class citizens.
No governmental authority, employer, or school has the constitutional right to require vaccination for participation. We can challenge any policy stating otherwise in court, meanwhile, we must continue to reject the vaccine. We must stand to protect individual medical choice.
Do your own research, fully inform yourself of the facts on both sides of the vaccine. Refuse to vaccinate yourself or your loved ones against your better judgment. This is not a petition. We do not need permission. We need to stand our ground together.
